Members of the Bangor BID steering group are all business owners or leaders within central Bangor.
They are united in their desire to see the area once again flourish for business and become a great place to live and visit. We are all volunteers who give our time and energy freely. The current members of the steering group are:
Alison Gordon, co-founder and development director of the 25 year old Open House Festival, an independent arts charity, and its recently opened Court House music and arts venue on Bangor seafront
Ashley Bradley, co-Director of the Bradley Gallery on Bangor’s High Street, home to the work of one of Ireland’s most successful living painters Terry Bradley
Chris Kelly, Leisure Contract Manager for the Northern Community Leisure Trust who manage Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex
Emma Drury, Director of Seacourt Print Workshop, the oldest print workshop in Ireland which opened in 1981 and relocated to the former Ulster Bank building on Bangor Main Street in 2020
Gareth Richardson, owner of Replay game shop, High Street, with more than 30 years working in retail and considerable experience in event management and public speaking.
Geoff Thompson, a partner at Fetherston’s estate agents with more than twenty years experience on Bangor High Street, and valuable in-depth knowledge of the professional services and property sectors.
Gillian Robinson, who brings more than twenty years experience in consumer services, and five years in her family’s successful jewellery business, Robinson Goldsmiths on Prospect Road.
Heather Davidson, Secretary of Bangor Drama Club and its Studio 1A theatre on Hamilton Road, with a solid business background in insurance services, and excellent planning, organising, communications and networking skills.
Johnny Fusco, one of Bangor’s leading business owners whose city centre hospitality businesses include The Nines, The Grand Social and Wolseys Bar
Julie Martin, owner / director of JMF Advisory financial services, with 30 years experience in financial services, and 17 years running her own business in central Bangor for a varied range of personal and corporate clients from SMEs to large businesses.
Louise Goodwin, Create Ability NI, Abbey Street, with 25 years experience in the disability and healthcare sector, and recent experience of a small retail startup. She is the only business currently representing upper central Bangor on the Steering Group.
Marianne Kennerley, co-founder and Director of Boom Studios, a creative hub and social enterprise that runs 26 artists studios and a programme of arts activities in empty office spaces in central Bangor
Nigel McNeely, Operations Director for Wolf Inns, who own three of Bangor’s iconic hostelries – The Ava, The Hop House and The Goat’s Toe
Paul Loughran represents key transport provider Translink and is the new Assistant Service Delivery Manager for Bangor Bus Centre
Ricky Armstrong, co-owner of the award winning family businesses the Guillemot Kitchen Cafe and the Guillemot Deli in Bangor’s pier area
Simon Cordner, owner of Windmill Guitars specialist guitar shop on Bangor High Street and a former Board member of the Cathedral Quarter BID in Belfast
